A Missive for Liberal Haters

I direct this missive to the many peoole I've seen posting on Facebook with claims like:

"America voted for Sharia Law!"

"America is becoming Socialist!" 

"America is voting for Communists!" 

"Liberals are destroying the country!"

"Liberals want to take our guns!"

First of all, I feel very sorry for you people. You have been fed a steady diet of misinformation from right-wing media outlets and the Republicans for decades now. 

You are now at the point where you are unable to differentiate between fact and fiction because of this. 

And your simple inability to look at information and make informed decisions based upon deductive reasoning ain't helping. 

Let's break things down a bit. 

No, America did NOT vote for "Sharia Law," and it will not be coming to a county near you anytime soon. 

None of the candidates elected to ANY public office in this country are radical Muslims, and none of them support Sharia Law. You have simply been taught by the Republican Party and their media arm, Fox "News," to fear names that don't sound like yours. 

All of those elected WILL support and defend the Constitution of the United States as their oath demands. 

And you have nothing to prove otherwise, period. 

Now let's talk socialism, which I'm almost certain you cannot even define. 

Socialism is an economic and political philosophy centered on the public or collective ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange, rather than private ownership.

This is NEVER going to happen in America. Never. No one, liberal nor conservative, will ever stand for it. 

Relax.

As for Communism, that showing up in America is way more far-fetched to the point of being actually ridiculous. 

Communism is a political and economic ideology that aims to create a classless, stateless society based on the common ownership of the means of production (such as factories, land, and machinery) rather than private property.

To think that this could ever come to America is laughable. No liberal would ever want any part of it,  and if you think they do, congratulations: you are a dumbarse.

As for the guns, nope, we don't wanna take them. All we want is actual controls that give us a better chance of keeping weapons out of the hands of sick and nasty people, hence keeping children safe. 

We want you to have a license to own a firearm, a waiting period before getting one, and want to PREVENT you from getting one if you have a history of violent behavior or mental illness.

Is that too much to ask? Perhaps it is if you are a dumbarse. Otherwise, it's very reasonable. It's about the same clearance you need to be able to drive a car. 

And I don't think "liberal values" are destroying anything other than your empty head. 

Liberals gave you social security,  Medicare, Medicaid, public assistance, and many other things that help people just like you survive every day. 

The Republicans want you to believe that the people taking advantage of these benefits are ruining the country. What is really happening is that they (the Republicans) have been robbing you blind for decades while distracting you with this ridiculous misinformation. 

They are criminals. They are out fur themselves and their rich friends, and they want to turn YOU against US so they can keep robbing us all daily. Just look at the insane amount of money Trump and his evil family have made in this presidency. It's a disgrace. If a Democrat had done it, you'd be having a seizure. 

Now mind you, I'm not ever gonna say that Democrats are perfect. They are not. But if you simply look at the facts and figures starting from about 1980 to today, a very clear picture can be seen.

Every Republican administration has left the country in worse debt than before they took office. 

Every Republican administration save Reagan has gotten us into a war.

Every Republican administrative has produced FAR less jobs than their counterparts. 

Meanwhile, every Democratic regime has been forced to fix these issues while the Republicans stand there and blame the Dems for the very situations they themselves created. 

Deficits by Prez:

Reagan: $185 billion

H.W. Bush: $290 billion

Clinton: $128 billion SURPLUS

Bush II: $1.2 trillion

Obama: $665 billion

Trump I: $3.1 trillion

Biden: $2 trillion

Trump (current): up $217 billion

Job Production by Prez:

Reagan: 16-20 million added

H.W. Bush: 2.6 million

Clinton: 22.9 million

Bush II: 1-3 million

Obama: 11-12 million

Trump I: lost 2.7 million

Biden: 16.6 million

Trump II: unclear, but retraction is strongly indicated.

See anything there, or do you intend to keep ignoring facts? Your choice. 

The fact is, Democrats ARE very different than Republicans in the economic results their policies get. So you might wanna wake up before your pockets are picked completely clean. 

Finally, let's talk about the Taliban. They want to force their religion upon their citizens and punish them if they do not subscribe to it. 

There is only one group doing that in the U.S., and hint: it ain't the Taliban. 

No, it is the Christian Nationalists who insist upon making their religion the ONLY religion, their God the ONLY God, and mixing their beliefs into the political arena where they have no place. 

America has NEVER been a Christian nation and never will be. It has always been a nation that allows you to practice whatever religion you wish to practice, or to have none at all. Anything else is counter to what the Founders intended, and don't let anyone tell you any differently. Believe me, they try. 

Bottom line: what do we Liberals want? Pretty much the same things you want. 

We want good health without having to go to the poor house to get it. 

We want a job and a decent living for ourselves and our children. 

We want a living environment safe from crime. 

We want peace in the world while still controlling aggression from evil regimes like Putin's Russia and Kim Jung's North Korea (among others).

We want all Americans to be able to live as they wish without interference or abuse from others. 

We want to help our neighbors when we can. 

We want to be happy. 

Now, do we really sound like the evil creeps you described? Because I don't think we do. 

If you can't see it, and if you continue to besmerch us, call us names, and wish us ill, I think you might wanna take a glance in the mirror and see who's looking back. 

It ain't a pretty sight.
